The licence is American, and so is the flying

What you finish with is an FAA private pilot licence, issued in the United States. The theory and the simulator hours are done here in Singapore; the flight training and the checkride are done at our partner school at Whiteman Airport, Los Angeles.

The Redbird MCX is an FAA-approved Advanced Aviation Training Device (AATD). Approved simulator training hours may be logged and credited where applicable under the relevant FAA requirements and training programme. If what you specifically need is a licence issued by CAAS in Singapore, tell us before you book anything and we will talk you through where this pathway does and does not fit.

Four stages

First flight to licensed pilot

You can stop after any one of them. Most people start at the first and decide as they go.

  1. Ages 8+ · 1 session

    Flight Exploration Program (FEP)

    Take off, fly and land the full-motion Redbird MCX with a Certified Flight Instructor beside you. No experience needed.

  2. 6–8 weeks · Seletar

    Flying Start Pilot Program (FSPP)

    Learn the fundamentals in ground school, apply them in the full-motion simulator and graduate in a real aircraft.

    • Graduation flight in a real aircraft

  3. Singapore phase

    FAA PPL Phase 1 SG

    Complete FAA Part 141 ground school and approved Redbird MCX AATD training in Singapore before continuing to aircraft training in the USA.

If the airlines are the goal

The private pilot licence is the first rating, not the last one. Instrument and commercial ratings continue from the same syllabus with the same partner school, and the simulator is where the instrument work starts.
