Why it matters

The hour counts, and so does the fright

Plenty of places will sit you in front of a screen. Two things separate this from that — the platform moves, so your body learns the aeroplane alongside your eyes; and the hours are loggable, so the afternoon is not just an afternoon.

It is also the only place you can practise the things that matter most. An instructor will not fail your engine on take-off in a real aeroplane. In here they will, as often as it takes.

    Discovery flight

    Take the left seat with a Certified Flight Instructor beside you. Take off, fly, and land it yourself. No experience needed, ages 8 and up.

  • Toward a licence

    Training hours

    Fifteen hours in the MCX are built into the FAA Pilot Pathway, and every one of them is logged and credited. Ground school and the Flying Start programme use it too.
